Purblind in Greenwich
The New Adventures of Dead-Eye Parry and the Blindfold Cat
Created and Performed by Ellan Parry and Catherine Kontz
28.07.07

Tipped off by Shrewd Adam of the Isle of Dogs, Dead-Eye Parry and the Blindfold Cat hook up in Greenwich for what looks to be an exciting adventure. Even though they had to abandon the means of common visual perception since Mudchute, they have trained themselves to, henceforth, make use of alternative modes of orientation and communication. Plans were developed, positions were studied and soon after they got to know the whereabouts of the bespoke objects, the pair of free-spirited explorers were able to set a date for their cloak-and-dagger expedition to Nifty Laura's den. Armed with bow and radio, they set off into the sunset, slowly closing in on the prime meridian. To be continued…

Purblind in Hammersmith
The New Adventures of Dead-Eye Parry and the Blindfold Cat
Created and Performed by Ellan Parry and Catherine Kontz
09.08.07 and 10.08.07

Returning from their exhilarating escapades to the shores of Greenwich, Dead-Eye Parry and the Blindfold Cat disembark in Hammersmith for another of their adventurous explorations in movement and space. Having previously abandoned the means of common visual perception, they nowadays make use of alternative modes of orientation and communication guiding them on their hunt for a handful of prized objects particular to each adventure. As witnesses have reported, their camaraderie discloses the sort of behavioural patterns and performance-related challenges that one may expect from this pair of free-spirited explorers. Purblind in Wales
The New Adventures of Dead-Eye Parry and the Blindfold Cat
Created and Performed by Ellan Parry and Catherine Kontz
11.08.07

After having accomplished their mission in Hammersmith, Dead-Eye Parry and the Blindfold Cat set out on their way to Monmouthshire at the break of dawn. H.K. of the West hamlet, an associate explorer, had agreed to give them a ride. Upon their arrival at the Chepstow Racecourses, they decided to inspect the surroundings without more ado and carry out their assignment before nightfall. The open air conditions did not facilitate the communication between the two accomplices, especially since, these days, they rely on unusual modes of orientation and interaction. However, their professional adroitness allowed them to remain one step ahead of their adversaries. To be continued….

work in progress: 'Neige' – pour soprano et piano – durée environ 6 minutes
